What is the RSscan Footscan® 3D Foot Scanner?
The RSscan Footscan® 3D Foot Scanner enables Healthy Footsteps’ Lead Podiatrist Trupti to analyse pressure areas on patients’ feet and enable identification of problems areas.
“We are the first Podiatry Clinic in the area providing this service in partnership with Gait & Motion Technology Limited and Phits,” explained Trupti, “which means that we can prescribe patients with personalised, custom-made Phits insoles.”
Phits insoles are the world's first high-tech 3D printed insoles, specifically designed based on dynamic gait analysis for optimal efficiency, superior stability and extreme durability.
Phits insoles patients include elite athletes such as Paula Radcliffe, Mo Farah, Tom Evans, Aly Dixon, Charlotte Purdue, Jens Scheurman and Lily Partridge.
What can I expect at my appointment?
As a new patient at Healthy Footsteps, you will be booked in for an initial consultation, which will include the following steps:
Our Lead Podiatrist will go through your medical history and any medication details. This is completely confidential.
We will then ask you what issues you are having with your feet, legs, walking gait and back.
A full foot assessment will then take place, which includes a vascular, neurological and a dermatological assessment. This means that we will check your feet pulses, blood circulation, the sensation of your feet to see how the nerve endings are working, and the condition of your skin.
Our Lead Podiatrist is highly trained to spot any signs or symptoms that your feet may present, and which you may not to be aware of. This is an especially important part of the initial consultation as it gives us an overview of your foot health, especially if you are diabetic.
Following this assessment, and during this initial consultation, the required nail and foot care can be given.
This appointment is approximately 45 minutes, while follow-up appointments are generally 30 minutes and prices vary depending on the treatment required, please enquire for more information.
